You will have an opportunity to get the unique experience of guerillas living and fighting underground during the war (a crawl through 50 -100 meters out 200 km of the tunnel system is unforgettable). Local rice paper workshops, nice paddy fields are pleasant sights on the way.
For those who are interested, there's even an opportunity to fire off rounds from an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby firing range (option only, fee not included).
After lunch at a local Vietnamese restaurant, we will come back to Saigon - the country’s commercial centre and, with over eight million inhabitants and four million motorbikes, a city that never sleeps. Embark on a city tour to admire Saigon’s historic landmarks including the Notre Dame Cathedral, then head across the square to the Central Post Office designed by the French architect, Gustav Eiffel. Continue your visit with the former Independent Palace, the headquarters of the Saigon Government during the American war, revealing the history of Saigon during its turbulent recent past. Continue to the War Remnants Museum for a vivid insight of the American war through the eyes of locals. Next, stroll toward the center of China town to visit Thien Hau Temple - 18th-century temple dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea and Protector of Sailors. Of special note is a scale model boat commemorating the first Chinese arriving from Canton, and a whimsical ceramic frieze lining the roofs above the inner courtyard. See more other Vietnam tour
