Travel in Vietnam. Cai Be
Floating Market is a famous place in Mekong Delta, here the Tien River
forms the border between Tien Giang, Vinh Long and Ben Tre Provinces.
Every day, approximately 400 -500 boats filled with fruits, vegetables
and other products anchor along the banks of the river, waiting for
traders and customers. The merchandise sold in each boat is hung on a
high pole in front of the boat as a sample to attract customers from a
distance.
The day will begin with a two-hour ride from Ho Chi Minh City to the
Mekong Delta, that became famous worldwide during what locals call the
anti-American War. The Delta is also famous for its floating market
which is typical of the Phung Hiep and the Cai Be. Upon arrival, we will
take a boat cruise to visit the Cai Be Floating Market. The floating
market is one of the most interesting and exciting attractions to visit
in the Mekong. At the floating market you can watch locals aboard their
small boats trading fresh goods and local commodities. (Vietnam tour)
